Arm lifts are also known as brachioplasties. Brachioplasty is a cosmetic procedure that performs the following:

  • Eliminates excessive amounts of skin that sag or hang downward
  • Smooths and tightens underlying tissues that support, tone and defines the contours of the upper arm
  • Minimizes fat pockets that are localized in the region of the upper arm

Growing older, heredity and extreme fluctuations in weight can leave the upper arms heavy with excessive amounts of sagging and drooping skin. Exercise and massage can not help eliminate this type of tissue..

If you have excessive amounts of skin that hang or sag when you lift your arm, a brachioplasty procedure may be a good choice for you.

Women who have issues with breast asymmetry can be helped with breast enhancement procedures. Minor problems with size difference, major asymmetry issues or Poland syndrome where one breast is deformed and one of the important chest muscles is missing can be corrected using breast enhancement techniques.

There are several procedures that can be performed to correct these issues.

They include:

  • Breast reduction to change the size of the larger breast.
  • A breast lift for one or both sides used in conjunction with breast augmentation.
  • Asymmetric augmentation which allows for the insertion of two breast plants of varying sizes to create uniformity and give the breasts a more balanced appearance.

A breast lift, or mastopexy, lifts the breasts and tightens the surrounding tissues. By removing excess skin and reshaping the breast, contour is restored giving them a more youthful appearance.

Breast lifts can also reduce the size of areolas that have become enlarged or irregular over time.

Breasts lifts can restore youthful appearance and provide a noticeable change in the profile or side view of your breasts.

Over time, several things can change the way breasts look as well as the elasticity of the skin and tissue that supports of them. They include:

  • Weight gain and loss
  • Pregnancy
  • Breastfeeding
  • Gravity
  • Aging
  • Heredity

Buccal fat pad extraction is used to remove fatty pads that cause the cheeks to look out of proportion.

To remove fatty pads from the buccal or cheek area, two incisions are made within the mouth, one near the back and the other closer to the first two molars. Manual pressure is applied to the outside of the cheek to force the fatty pads through the openings. The surgeon then sculpts the pad, removing excess tissue. Once it is appropriately reshaped, it is returned to its original position and the incisions are closed.

Chin implants -Specially designed, biocompatible implants are used to alter the planes of the face during a chin implant procedure.During chin implant surgery (also known as mentoplasty), a small silicon implant is used to add definition to the area.

In about 30 percent of all rhinoplasty surgeries, it is recommended that a chin augmentation procedure is also performed. The incision is small and heal very quickly. Combining both procedures ensures the results are as symmetrical as possible.

Ear surgery is also known as otoplasty. It can reshape, improve proportion and reposition the ear for better hearing and enhanced appearance.

The surgery can be used to correct a birth defect in the structure of the ear. The defect may only present itself after the child begins to grow and develop. The procedure is also used to correct ears that have been damaged in an accident or are the result of an injury.

The procedure produces a more natural, uniform shape that provides both proportion and balance. Correcting even the smallest of deformities can offer benefits in regards to a person's self-esteem and how they feel about their appearance. Children who have ears that protrude or are disfigured in some way, are excellent candidates for ear surgery.

Ear surgery can be used to correct:

  • Macrotia – overly large, unsightly ears.
  • Ears that protrude (one or both).
  • Adults who have had previous ear surgeries and are dissatisfied with the results.

(Facelift also known as a Rhytidectomy) is a cosmetic procedure that reduces visible signs associated with aging that occur in the face and neck areas. These signs include:

  • Loose, sagging skin the middle of the face.
  • Deep furrows or creases that appear below the lower eyelids.
  • Deep furrows or creases extending from the nose to the corners of the mouth.
  • Areas where fat has shifted or disappeared.
  • The creation of jowls caused by the loss of skin tone in the lower areas of the face.
  • Fatty deposits that appear under the chin or near the jaw caused by loose, sagging skin causing a double chin.

Environmental conditions, gravity, heredity and stress can have a dramatic impact on the skin. They can cause skin to lose its youthful appearance.

Cosmetic, surgical procedures that are used to rejuvenate and enhance the look of the face are often used in conjunction with other procedures to correct other possible issues. Eye lifts, chin implants and cheek augmentation are easily performed in the same procedure.

Facial rejuvenation treatments are cosmetic procedures that will enhance the face, restoring a more youthful appearance.

These procedures can be performed both surgically and through non-invasive forms of treatments. They involve targeted procedures that improve facial symmetry through restructuring and the use of implants or simple skin alterations. There are also non-surgical techniques that can treat specific concerns such as skin elasticity, wrinkles, scarring and hyperpigmentation.

Gynecomastia occurs in males and is caused by an endocrine disorder that causes enlargement of benign breast tissue. Approximately 70 percent of adolescent males have some amount of breast development when they begin to enter puberty. Both newborns and adolescent boys experience an increase in female hormones at these times and can experience temporary breast enlargement. This only lasts for a short period of time, however.

Laser skin resurfacing reduces the appearance of blemishes, facial wrinkles and scars. Also known as lasabrasion, laser peel or vaporization, it is one of the new laser technologies being used to provide surgeons with better control during skin resurfacing procedures. It allows for accurate, precise incisions for even the most delicate areas of the face.

Laser skin resurfacing can be used to correct various facial flaws, including:

  • Wrinkles and fine lines near the eyes, mouth or forehead.
  • Acne and chicken pox scars.
  • Skin damaged from aging or sun exposure.
  • Warts.
  • Liver Spots.
  • Skin that does not respond well after a facelift.
  • Complexion correction for individuals with grayish or yellowish skin tones.
  • Liner epidermal nevi or other forms of birthmarks.
  • Overly large oil glands on or near the nose.

Liposuction is used to remove excess fat deposits from various areas of the body. It allows the surgeon to reshape and slim certain areas where fat is known to accumulate and improves the body's appearance. It enhances body proportion and adds contour and curve.

Liposuction can be used to remove localized fat deposits in the following areas:

  • Abdomen
  • Waist
  • Thighs
  • Buttocks
  • Hips
  • Upper arms
  • Back
  • Inner knee
  • Chest
  • Calves and ankles
  • Cheeks and chin
  • Neck

Liposuction can be used in conjunction with other procedures to provide a more symmetrical, well-balanced look. Breast reduction, tummy tuck, face lift and chin augmentation are just a few of the procedures where liposuction can offer added benefit.

Lipstick lines, parentheses lines and marionette lines are the most common forms of wrinkles found around the mouth. These lines can etch into the lips and extend vertically outward. Lipstick lines can cause lipstick to bleed away from the lips causing small lines of color to appear. The corners of the mouth are the most common place for wrinkles, folds and lines to appear. The lines can extend downward toward the chin giving the person the look of a marionette or puppet. Lines that form from the nose downward along the sides of the mouth can look like a set of parentheses. These lines can all be corrected using simple cosmetic procedures.

Rhinoplasty is a cosmetic procedure that restructures the nose to correct defects that can impair breathing. It can also define the proportions of the nose and make the face look more balanced and refined. Rhinoplasty is useful for:

  • The size of the nose in relation to the face.
  • Width of the nose at the bridge.
  • Size of the nostrils and their position.
  • Noticeable depressions or humps on the bridge of the nose.
  • Drooping, hooked, upturned or enlarged nasal tip.
  • Wide, large or upturned nostrils.
  • Asymmetry of the nose.
  • Revision Rhinoplasty.

No one's face is perfectly balanced. It is important to remember that, even if you try for a more symmetrical, evenly proportioned nose, your face as a whole may still be somewhat asymmetrical.

Abdominoplasty or Tummy tuck procedures remove excess skinand fat in the abdominal region. It helps to rejuvenate muscles that have been weakened or separated from weight fluctuations and previous surgeries. It helps to create an abdominal profile that is firmer, smoother and more toned.

Many people try to achieve a flat, toned stomach but have difficulty using common methods such as weight control and exercise. When these methods fail, cosmetic procedures can help.

No one is immune from a sagging stomach. Individuals who maintain a normal body weight can experience protrusion of the abdomen over time. Common causes for this include:

  • Pregnancy
  • Previous surgeries
  • Aging
  • Significant weight gain and loss
  • Heredity

Body lifts improve the both the tone and shape of the tissue that lies under and supports skin and fat.

During a body lift procedure, extra skin and fat are removed. Once the skin and excess fat are gone, the skin surface may appear dimpled and irregular. This is commonly referred to as cellulite.

Body lifts can be used in the following areas:

  • Buttocks that are unevenly shaped, droopy or flat
  • Groin tissue that hang down near the inner thigh
  • Abdominal areas that extend down and around the sides or towards the lower back
  • Posterior, inner or outer thigh, as well as its circumference

Pregnancy, aging, genetic factors, sun damage and extreme weight loss and gain can increase skin and tissue elasticity causing them to droop, hang or sag. In most cases, the buttocks, thighs and abdomen are the most commonly affected.

Breast augmentation procedures use either fat or breast implants to increase the size of the breasts. It is also used to restore volume that may have been lost after pregnancy or weight reduction. When fat is used, the procedure is referred to as fat transfer breast augmentation.

In clinical terms, breast augmentation is known as augmentation mammaplasty.

Breast augmentation is able to:

  • Increase the volume and improve the projection of breasts
  • Balance your figure making it more symmetrical
  • Improve self-image and increase self-confidence

If a person needs breast reconstruction after an injury or mastectomy, breast implants are also available for those purposes as well.

Reduction mammaplasty, or breast reduction surgery, removes excess breast tissue, fat and loose skin. The goal is to produce a breast that is well proportioned to the body it is attached to. Breast reductions are also used to relieve discomfort associated with larger breasts, such as back and neck pain..

Cheek augmentation is used to enhance a person's cheeks and bring their facial features into proportion.

To accomplish this, the surgeon may use the patient's own soft tissue or fat to create a filler which is injected into the desired area. In some cases, Restylane, a synthetic material that acts like soft tissue may be used. He can also augment the cheeks by placing a solid implant directly over the cheekbone. If extensive change is required, small cuts may be made to the zygomatic bone. This is rare, however. This procedure is commonly used in conjunction with other cosmetic procedures, such as chin augmentation, face lifts or rhinoplasty.

Two of the most commonly reported birth defects in North American children are cleft palate (palatoschisis) and cleft lip (cheiloschisis). These defects occur when the palate or the lip are not fully formed before birth. The defects can appear singly or together and range in severity. They may involve one side of the face or both depending on the exact position.

During the earliest stages of fetal development, certain aspects of the upper lip and palate fail to form as they should. Basically, the palate and lip fail to grow and seal together. The surgery used to correct this structural defect is able to offer the child as normal an appearance as possible, based on the severity of the cleft. It allows the mouth and lip to function much like any other person.

These specialized procedures help to rebuild the structure of the palate and soft tissue so the child is able to breathe, eat, hear and speak normally.

Lepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, is a procedure used to enhance the look of the eyelids. The procedure can be used on both upper and lower eyelids, or just one, if that is what is suggested. The procedure can be used to enhance a person's appearance or to correct a problem with how the eyelid functions. The procedure can improve the look of the area surrounding the eye as well.

Eyelid surgery is capable of helping:

  • Skin that is loose or sags, causing folds in the upper eyelid that disrupts the look of the eye and can obscure vision.
  • Eliminates fatty deposits that cause eyelids to look puffy and swollen.
  • Eliminates bags that can appear under the eyes.
  • Lower eyelids that droop allowing white to be seen beneath the iris.
  • Removes excess skin that can cause fine wrinkles in and around the lower lid.

Facial fat grafting is a rejuvenation procedure that helps to restore lost volume in the face and can reverse visible signs of aging. This procedure can take years off of your appearance and restore a more youthful look to the skin.

For individuals who prefer less invasive treatments, Dr. Richard Ellenbogen is able to perform the procedure on its own. He encourages his patients, however, to use fat grafting in conjunction with other procedures to ensure optimal, more enhanced results.

Brow lifts are also known as forehead lifts. They can be used to correct the following:

  • Lessens horizontal wrinkle lines that form across the forehead, across the bridge of the nose and between the eyes.
  • Reduces the severity of the vertical creases that show between the eyebrows, also known as frown lines.
  • Removes “hoods” that appear over the upper eyelids by raising eyebrows that have started to sag.
  • Repositions eyebrows to allow for a more youthful, alert look.

In addition to a forehead or brow lift, these cosmetic surgeries may also be performed:

  • Eyelid tucks (both upper and/or lower).
  • Facelifts.
  • Techniques that involve resurfacing of the skin.

Injectables or dermal fillers are used to fill in facial line and add volume to the face.

As a person ages, they begin to lose subcutaneous fat in the facial area. The muscles of the face are closer to the surface. This allows lines to form around the eyes, mouth and nose

The skin of the face also becomes more elastic causing it to lose volume and sag in certain areas. This can be affected by lifestyle, smoking, heredity and overexposure to the sun.

Dermal fillers:

  • Fill in shallow contours
  • Add volume to lips
  • Softens wrinkles and creases
  • Reduce the visibility of recessed scars

Dermal fillers are beneficial when included in facial rejuvenation procedures and for individuals who are experiencing early signs of aging.

Many people consider full lips to be sexy and a sign of youthfulness. This can be true for both men and women. A full upper lip that allows for partial visibility of the upper teeth when the mouth is opened slightly is considered to be the “in” look. As a person ages, the lips become thinner and longer. This can obstruct the view of the teeth. Permanent lip augmentation is available to help achieve this look for individuals who do not want to use temporary fillers.

Although pregnancy and childbirth are wonderful experiences, they can wreak havoc on the body. Sleepless nights, breastfeeding, the return to work and endless chores can add to poor body image and post partum depression. They can also leave you feeling less than beautiful. Mommy Makeovers are available to help you restore the positive self image you deserve as a new mother. Several cosmetic procedures are included to help restore your body to its pre-pregnancy shape and tone.

Candidates for a Mommy Makeover include:

  • Women who are average weight and live a healthy lifestyle
  • Women who are no longer having children
  • Women who are finished breast feeding
  • Women who can afford the required recovery time
  • Women with issues not corrected by diet and exercise

Neck lifts, also known as rhytidectomies, are cosmetic procedures that remove signs of aging from the neck and jawline. Some of the benefits include:

  • Removal of excess skin and fat that have begun to droop creating jowls.
  • Removal of fat deposits that accumulate beneath the chin.
  • Removes loose skin in and around the neck.
  • Muscle abnormalities that create abnormal, unsightly contours in the neck.

Stress, gravity, heredity and environmental factors have an impact on our skin and bodies. They can dramatically speed up the aging process making a person look older than they actually are.

Even if a person's face is not showing excessive signs of aging, the neck can begin to show wrinkles and the effects of sagging skin much earlier. Turkey neck, jowl lines and double chins are often more noticeable prior to signs of aging that appear on the face.

When the face and neck no longer look as if they go together, a neck lift is cosmetic procedure that can be considered for positive results.

Scar revision surgeries minimize scar tissues and helps to make more closely resemble the surrounding skin texture and color.

Scars often remain long after a wound as healed. They are visible reminders of the event and they can develop in extremely unpredictable ways. They are often the result of poor healing and can be extremely unsightly. Even wounds that heal nicely can scar. Scars can be dark, raised, recessed and vary in size from the original wound.

Treatment options vary from case to case. Depending on the degree of scarring, your options include:

  • Topic treatments like bioCorneum+
  • Procedures that are minimally invasive
  • Wound closure using advanced techniques
  • Surgical revision

Even with these options, some scars cannot be completely erased.
